Damn I'm frustrated..

A colleague of mine broke her hand last week, yet she is forced to come to work - and that even though we are secretaries / typists in a law office.. Now she has to type one-handed, and well, I don't think I'll have to tell you how much fun it is to do all that other crap like filing with only one hand..

Just makes me think how "valued" we are.. It reminds me of machines really. If your computer doesn't work properly, you curse and bitch and possibly kick it around a bit, but you don't care if it needs new parts or something, until it breaks down to a point where it just won't work anymore at all. And we are forced to come in, even if we "don't work properly", i.e. broken bones, or bad sicknesses, until we really break down.

Lovely...

To top this off, I've had a fight with another colleague today, me and my husband are having monetary problems, and our electricity company charged a sum, that can't possibly be right, where I will have to investigate - and how, I wonder.. Call up and say, hey, you charged too much! They get the numbers from a dial though that says how much energy you used during the last year, so what are they gonna say.. Probably like "ohh we are so horribly sorry! Of course this is wrong!!", right?

Ahh whatever.. On the bright side, I get to leave early tomorrow and on Friday most likely. I do hope by then the world will look a brighter colour to me again ;)

I have a buddy.
My buddy's a toad.
He's kind of muddy,
And flat on the road.
But he is my buddy,
My buddy to stay,
Until he peels up, and sails away.
